Mary Ann Stanford – Associate Teacher

My name is Mary Ann, and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University with a major in Communication, a minor in Psychology, and a Level One Early Childhood Education Certificate. I have worked in early childhood education here in the Upper Valley since December 2017. My prior experiences include teaching English to children of all ages in China (where I lived for eight years) and teaching English Language Learner children (ELL) in the US. I have also been a substitute teacher in the Lebanon School District in a variety of classrooms. I truly love working at FitKids and literally cannot wait to get back to see the kids every Monday morning! I especially enjoy using a soft song to calm down children who are upset, or just being silly and making them laugh. One day, when joking with a student, I said that teachers are only 99% perfect. Then he said, “No, you’re 100% perfect!”
