COVID-19 Family Guidelines and Staff Checklist

Below you’ll see our Family Guidelines and Staff Cleaning and Disinfecting Checklist. There are posted throughout the center in each classroom.

Family Guidelines

Health screening of children prior to entering the classroom – including temperature check which must register 100.4 degrees F or lower, and being able to answer “No” to the following three questions:

  1. Do you have, or have you had, one or more of the following symptoms of a respiratory infection in the last 14 days: headache, fever, nasal or respiratory congestion, dry or wet cough, shortness of breath, sore throat?
  2. In the last 14 days, have you had contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19, or who is under investigation for Covid-19, or is ill with respiratory illness?
  3. In the last 14 days, have you traveled outside of New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine?

Parents must drop-off children at the front door –only children and teachers enter the classroom. Importantly, those dropping off children MUST put on a face mask before exiting their car. Please maintain social distance of 6’ or more from other families dropping off children. We will be taking children into the classrooms one at a time.

Upon arrival, children will be taken immediately to the hand washing station inside the classroom, and their hands will be washed multiple times daily.

Teachers will be wearing masks at all times. Children two-years of age and under will not wear masks. Children over the age of two will wear masks at their family’s discretion. If you desire your child to wear a mask, please send them to FitKids with at least two cloth masks. We recommend that you practice with a mask at home – we will try our best to accommodate this at school. It might be difficult.

Parents provide snacks and lunch. Please pack your child’s food in a clearly labeled, disposable paper bag.

Ramped up disinfecting procedures throughout the day and professional sanitizing of all classrooms each night, including nightly cleaning of all rugs.

Be advised that if your child has any cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you keep him/her at home. Children with symptoms typically associated with teething, such as an elevated temperature, will be asked to stay home – or will be sent home if that happens during the school day.

Please keep your child at home if s/he has taken fever-reducing medication in the past 72 hours.
